The Last of Us Part I remake has just been released on PlayStation 5, and players who were able to reserve the Firefly Edition, a physical collector's edition exclusive to the United States, have begun to receive their goods. The problem is that the items they received were in poor condition. Sony, for its part, has disappointed gamers with its response.
The Last of Us Part I is now available on PS5 and will soon be available on PC. Fans can enjoy Joel and Ellie in this complete graphical redesign of the first opus, with some gameplay adjustments and a lot of new accessibility options.
Sony released a Firefly edition, a limited physical collector's edition available only in the United States. The first fans finally had the opportunity to receive their prized possession with the game's official release. Except when they opened the package, several players were in for an unpleasant surprise.
On social networks, some players took Twitter and expressed their disappointment, even anger, towards Sony after receiving a Firefly edition damaged in transit.
Very similar for me. Mine the flap of the envelope literally could not even reach the other side, so they stuck it directly on the box top itself, tons of nasty residue from that even ignoring all the actual damage otherwise. Very poor experience from PlayStation Direct. pic.twitter.com/hvPFpuqw7y

This is how my $100 collector’s edition was delivered from @PlayStation
As a collector and massive LoU fan, this is severely disappointing. @AskPlayStation 🤬 pic.twitter.com/ybcUlUgQry
Even though the first complaints were not long in coming, Sony continues to disappoint and turn a deaf ear. According to the user @Porshapwr, there will be no refund or replacement, but there will be a 20% discount on future purchases on the Playstation Store.
