Halo Infinite: split-screen co-op canceled and 343i breaks part of a promise

Forget about enjoying the campaign side by side with your friends in the same chair

One of the most anticipated games before its release was Halo Infinite; however, approaching a year since its release, unfortunately, it has not had the best result due to lack of maintenance and content.

And on top of that, let's remember that Halo 5: Guardians didn't get the split-screen co-op campaign, so many hoped they could get it in Halo Infinite, but unfortunately, they failed in this title as well.

Why do we say this? Because 343 Industries made a statement sharing all the news on the way for Halo Infinite in the last months of 2022. There they revealed the bad news that this cooperative campaign would not arrive.

And surely you will wonder, being something so popular, why did they cancel it? 343 Industries explained that it was a decision to improve and accelerate the development of Halo Infinite's as-a-service elements. In more friendly words: they took the resources intended to create this option and moved them to other game elements.

This clearly got a negative response from the fans, because this long-awaited feature in this title was a promise that 343 Industries had made years ago. Specifically, at the beginning of 2017, Bonnie Ross, head of the study, assured everyone that they heard the community's complaints about the absence of this function in Halo 5: Guardians.

No doubt this news will not be pleasant for Halo fans, especially those anxious about this game mode.
