For all Nintendo lovers, especially Mario Bros. fans, stay tuned because we are getting news related to a leak indicating that the company is working on a new New Super Mario Bros., which would have online multiplayer.
Remember that the last installment we saw was a port for Nintendo Switch of New Super Mario Bros. U, originally released for Wii U, which did not have tremendous success due to low console sales.
And so, where does this leak come from? This is due to a leaker named Zippo; he shared on his blog that a new New Super Mario Bros. is developing.
According to Zippo, this installment will have certain novelties, such as the fact that it will have a different name from what is seen in the franchise, it will have a new artistic style, and that is not all. The best thing is that it would have an online multiplayer; all of this work is already in its final stages of development.
And if you thought that was all, we tell you that Zippo also confirmed that Spike, a character who met in the NES classic Wrecking Crew, will be one of the major surprises in the game, something that would coincide with the appearance of the villain in the new Mario movie.
And when would this come? Everything indicates that it would arrive on Nintendo Switch sometime in 2023 or even in 2024 if the game were to be confirmed.
Until now, Nintendo has not given any official announcement of this leak, so for now, it only remains a rumor; in case of any news here at LEVEL UP, we will keep you informed.
