Xbox has confirmed that it will return to the Tokyo Game Show this year with another streaming presentation. The show will be held on September 15 at 6 pm JST / 2 am PDT / 5 am EDT / 10 am BST.
“We invite fans to tune in to the Tokyo Game Show 2022 Xbox Stream, where you can expect to see updates on existing titles from Xbox Game Studios and titles launching from developer partners that we hope will delight players here in Japan, across Asia, and around the world,” the company's official website reads.
It may be a less popular event for Western audiences, but the show will be attended by such recognizable companies as Capcom, Square Enix, Sega, and Konami.
The TGS 2022 will take place in Tokyo from September 15 to 18. Each conference will be streamed live on Twitter, YouTube, and Twitch, but attendees will enjoy certain privileges, such as the VR demo of Resident Evil Village.
Xbox will be one of the heavyweights at the show, confirming its support for the Japanese video game industry. Without going any further, X/S Series is slowly approaching Xbox 360's sales numbers.
''Gaming has always provided an important way to connect, but especially over the past few years. It has a transformative power to bring joy and foster community, and it’s at TGS where we can all enjoy the spirit of games together.''
The company may have news about its own games (Xbox Game Studios), titles from third parties, and possibly some new announcements. For the time being, any prediction would be speculative. Perhaps we'll learn more about Hideo Kojima's project with Xbox, which will use Microsoft's cloud technology.
What do you think the company will showcase at the event? Let us know in the comments!
