A new action game is being developed by Total War's and Hyenas developer Creative Assembly

Creative Assembly, the studio behind the well-known Total War series, is working hard on a new project. Development has been delegated to the Sofia, Bulgaria office, which opened in 2017. It's an action game that promises to "launch a new franchise."

This new project will flank Total War, Hyenas, and another unrevealed game. ''It will be a significant wait before further details are revealed, but Creative Assembly is excited to see this dedicated project team take shape as part of an ongoing expansion of the CA Sofia studio in Bulgaria,'' the studio stated.

The new title from Creative Assembly will also result in an expansion of the studio in Bulgaria, with the team currently looking for candidates with experience with third-person games that use Unreal Engine 5. Game designer, programmer, technical artist, and animator are among the positions being sought.

Until now, Creative Assembly's Bulgarian studio had been working on Total War DLC in preparation for the release of a full game, A Total War Saga: Troy, in August 2020.

Creative Assembly stated that its Sofia office continues to work on Total War, with an entire dedicated team working on future franchise releases.
