Hogwarts Legacy fans did not miss an intriguing detail that emerged with the start of reservations for the Warner Bros. game. Indeed, it appears that the highly anticipated Harry Potter-themed title will offer exclusive DLC on the PlayStation family of consoles.
Looking at the official Hogwarts Legacy page on the PlayStation Store, the words "exclusive mission" can be found in each of the editions that are currently for pre-order.
This content is part of the package, regardless of version (PlayStation 4/PlayStation 5) or edition (Standard or Deluxe), and will be distributed to all players, including those who do not pre-order the physical or digital version.
But what exactly is it all about? All we know for now is that it will include a mission that will not be available on other platforms and that it will most likely not be the only exclusive DLC. In any case, this will likely be a side quest with no bearing on the plot.
The community manager at Avalanche Games responded to the community's concerns by clarifying that this was not a mistake or a pre-order bonus: Hogwarts Legacy will include a new quest available only on PS5 and PS4 (via VGC).
The PlayStation exclusive quest comes with any PlayStation version of the game. It is not tied to pre-order. Pre-order on PlayStation will get you the Felix Felicis potion recipe. More details are coming soon.

Hogwarts Legacy was featured at Gamescom with a new trailer dedicated to the dark arts, which revealed more about the title's setting and gameplay.
Fans of the world of Harry Potter will have to be patient since the game is scheduled to launch on February 10, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The Nintendo Switch launch date will be revealed soon.
