Sonic Frontiers has been a topic of debate among Sonic fans since its announcement. Although it will be the first Sonic game to use an open world, the first trailer released months ago divided fans of the franchise.
Despite criticism for the bare game world and requests from players to delay it so that changes could take place, SEGA stated that the game is very polished and must be played before being judged. It also confirmed that the game is coming out in 2022, as previously stated.
A listing from a Taiwanese store now showed Sonic Frontiers products. Two things stand out in particular. One is a rough sketch of the main Sonic characters, including Tails, Knuckles, and new characters denoted by question marks.
The most intriguing aspect, however, is the DLC included in the merchandise image. It was already rumored that the game would include a DLC pack, and it appears that this is an official confirmation. But that's not the end of the story because the site also revealed the game's possible release date, which is November 15.
For the time being, we're talking about rumors, so we'll just have to wait for SEGA to announce the game's official release date.
Gamescom 2022 will again take place in the Cologne exhibition halls and also online from August 23 to 28. Developers will gather from August 22 to 23 at Europe's largest developer conference, Devcom.
