The remastered version of Spider-Man, created by Nixxes, a studio acquired by Sony last year, was released on PC on August 12, 2022, and it has already proven to be a massive success.
Yesterday, Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered on PC had a record of 64,893 concurrent players and 58,470 at the time of writing.
64,893 concurrent players are slightly less than God of War had during its PC release, which had 73,529 concurrent players.
Horizon Zero Dawn, the first major PlayStation title to make the transition to PC, had a peak of 56,557 concurrent players. Twitter user and content creator Benji-Sales shared the following comparison:
So far looks like Spider-Man Remastered will be the 2nd Biggest Launch for PlayStation Studios on Steam / PC. God of War may get to keep the crown

''We’re grateful to our PlayStation Studios partner studio Nixxes Software for fully optimizing Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales for PC. Our production team has been thrilled with Nixxes’ collaborative spirit and commitment to quality. We see a lot of ourselves when working with Nixxes.'' Ryan Schneider stated in a blog entry.
It's possible that Spider-Man's PC remaster will reach a higher peak of concurrent players very soon. In any case, God of War is still the most successful PlayStation game on PC right now.
