Still alive but at what cost?

Beyond Good & Evil 2 has been in limbo for a while. The sequel to the 2003 cult title has been in development for years and if you thought that situation was going to change in the near future, you'd better reconsider as apparently, its release is still a long way off.

This week, prestigious insider and journalist Tom Henderson published an article on the eXputer portal where he revealed more information about Ubisoft's project. He assured readers and fans that he was able to see images of the game thanks to anonymous sources who participated in a private testing.

Sadly this didn’t was precisely good as these people talked unfavourably about their experience, on such a scale that maybe we will have to wait years until its launch.

Everything is a mess but at least alive

According to Henderson, he was able to see some images from the project and the videogame looks incomplete compared to what was seen in the official previews shared by Ubisoft at the end of 2018. In addition, in his article, he remarks that we will have to wait "a couple of years" to play it.

One of his sources told him that Beyond Good & Evil 2 "lacks direction" and is "years away," while another told him that he had no idea what he was doing when he played.

The project even though in development is still in turbulent waters. In early August, Sarah Arellano, a Narrative Designer who worked on Vainglory and the recent Saints Row reboot, announced on her personal Twitter account that she is the new lead writer on Ubisoft's title, suggesting that the story is still incomplete.

However, is good to know that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still alive. We should remember that a few months ago there were rumours of a possible cancellation caused by creative disagreements.
