Hoyoverse released a couple of days ago a new trailer teasing what is coming for their next Genshin Impact update. What surprises the most is not only the information within the video but the fact that they decided to put the 3D models and in-engine CG away and presented a beautifully animated teaser.
The teaser features a lot of characters that will take part in the Sumeru update, among them are The traveller, Tignari, Collei, Alhacén, Paimon, Dori, Cyno, Dehya, Nilou, and Nahida.
Actually, the latest is the one narrating this trailer, voiced by Kimberly Anne Campbell in her English version and Yukari Tamura, who also voices Qiqi, in her Japanese version.
I’m just the moon, the real sun is long gone
As highlighted by some players, this teaser seems connected with the ending of the Teyvat update video. During the trailer we also noted that Nahida emphasizes that everything in this world “runs on a loop” challenging the Traveler to find the truth underneath Sumeru and Teyvat.
She ends up her speech referring to herself as “the moon”, as the “sun” has been long gone. Based in last month’s Sumeru preview, she may be referring to the previous Dendro Archon, who established the systems that run Sumeru in the present.
