The Five Nights at Freddy’s movie has been in development for a while… a long while and things at some point went a little bit complicated. If you were not aware the movie produced by Blumhouse lost its director after Chris Columbus left the project.
One of the suspected reasons is creative differences with Scott Cawthon, or at least that was implied after Blumhouse CEO Jason Blum said “ We’ve written multiple scripts, and we’ve got where we’re threading a needle, which is doing justice to Five Nights at Freddy’s and making Scott happy. […] I don’t want to do something that Scott doesn’t like.”
While that is a fair reason, that is not everything that was going on behind the scenes, creator Scott Cawthon also got his big share of controversy after it was discovered that he had been donating to anti-LGBTQA+ charities and supporting Trump.
A little good news…
After a lot of bad news and silence, fans turned as impatient as you may imagine, and Jason Blum once again took the Internet to calm down anxious fans with good news.
Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, the mythical special and visual effects company founded by puppeteer Jim Henson, creator of The Muppets, is working alongside Blumhouse in the creation of the creepy animatronics.
It's great to be working with Jim Henson's Creature Shop. Their experience and expertise with animatronics is absolutely killer! @blumhouse pic.twitter.com/T81BguWJ69

That is synonym for quality
Blum shared the news via Twitter attaching a photo of an artist working on a small model of Freddy Fazbear or at least a model that looks like Freddy.
While the statue is unfinished and many parts are scattered around the work table, this may give us the hint that the production has overcome some of its issues and is going forward. Hopefully more news drop in the following months, at least to calm down anxious fans… again.
