There will also be some major differences in their backstory compared to the game. https://t.co/MfZiaOwZod pic.twitter.com/CLI1dYc2sN
Back with the siblings
Details about Henry and Sam's on-screen participation were also released. We all remember how these siblings ended up bonding with Ellie and Joel until… yeah that awful ending.
Apparently, the HBO series will portray the brother's story a little different compared to the game. Instead of being encountered in Pittsburgh as in the game, Ellie and Joel will team up with Henry and Sam in Kansas City where the two are "hiding from a revolutionary movement seeking vengeance.”
Besides this, there is nothing new about the plot or new characters however in a recent interview with Bella Ramsey with digital magazine SheKnows, she shared her opinion on the live-action series.
"It very much follows the emotional beats of the game, and it’s very respectful of the game and honours the game," she said, "but [it] brings a new life into it. It explores different avenues that weren’t explored so much in the game. I do think people are going to love it.”
There is still a good year until HBO’s The Last Of Us land on our screens, in the meantime… Any expectations around this series? Remember to share your thoughts in the comments.
