Sonic Frontiers is one of the year's most anticipated video games, especially for those who are hoping for a great new installment of Sega's blue hedgehog following the mixed reception of Sonic Forces.
The hedgehog's new 3D action-platform adventure promises to revolutionize franchise gameplay with a new world comprised of large open areas and a story that aims to be one of the saga's deepest and most emotional.
Those looking for more information on the new Sonic title are in luck, as Sega has confirmed that it will be present at Gamescom 2022.
As revealed by host Geoff Keighley via his personal Twitter account, Sonic Frontiers will be present during Opening Night Live next Tuesday, August 23.
Everything points to the game's presentation in new gameplay, and perhaps its definitive release date will be revealed; so far, we only know that it will be available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The last time we saw Sonic Frontiers' gameplay was in a Nintendo Switch version, where linear levels in the style of other installments, like Sonic Generations, were displayed for the first time.
Gamescom 2022 will again take place in the Cologne exhibition halls and also online from August 23 to 28. Developers will gather from August 22 to 23 at Europe's largest developer conference, devcom.
