Many years ago, around 2016, Platinum Games and Cygames had revealed that they were working on a project called Granblue Fantasy: Relink. This title would feature characters from the Cygames franchise as the sequel to the mobile RPG released in 2014.
However, and unfortunately, it was in 2020 when it was announced that the title would no longer be run by PlatinumGames, causing delays in the game and suggesting that there were problems in development. Last June, it was revealed that the title would not be arriving this year, 2022; however, we finally have good news for fans who have been waiting for this game for years.
The good news was revealed last weekend at the EVO event, as the title Granblue Fantasy: Versus was present at the event for the first time. Here, Cygames took the opportunity to thank the fans for their support and update everyone on the development of Granblue Fantasy: Relink, the next action RPG in the franchise.

Cygames director Tetsuya Fukuhara shared a video message for fans; it was there that he announced that the project is at "its highest point of development," being a positive word for all who await its arrival.
In December of last year, it was reported that the title was delayed once again, mainly due to the effects caused by the pandemic. Despite this, it was ensured that "the graphic resources, the stage pieces, voices, sound and other elements" were already finished. The team only needed time to take stock, debug, optimize, and improve the experience.
The director reiterated that the title would debut sometime in 2023 and promised we would see familiar characters, such as Katalina, Charlotte, Lancelot, Percival, and more, as we have seen in some trailers. Although it did not present a new trailer for the game, it gave a fleeting glimpse of the gameplay recorded from a camera.
In the latest delay of the game, it was assured that we would see more about him in December 2022. We will keep you informed.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is in development for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC (via Steam) and is expected to debut sometime in 2023.
