Alice in Wonderland is one of those stories that has been told and retold, and reversed so many times, that we honestly can’t keep count. In the video game world, there have been various titles that use this story as inspiration, such as Alice Madness Returns and Alice’s Warped Wonderland. Good news if you’re a fan of the second one because a new version of the game will be arriving on Nintendo Switch very soon!
The announcement was recently given by Nightmare STUDIO, confirming that Alice’s Warped Wonderland: REcollection would be arriving on Nintendo Switch and PC.
The Nintendo Switch version of the title will launch via eShop on August 25 for 3,080 ¥ ($22.82). Unfortunately, the PC hasn’t got a release date just yet. On the plus side, the game will support English, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese language options!
Alice’s Warped Wonderland: REcollection is a new version of Alice’s Warped Wonderland, a horror text adventure game originally released for feature phones in Japan, retooled for new platforms. According to Gematsu, while there are no major changes, REcollection does boast the following additional features:
- Full widescreen support (from the original vertical screen display).
- Touchscreen support for the Switch version.
- Subtle rewrites are mindful of the original script.
- Refined background music that maintains the rich quality of the original melodies.
- Text skip and auto-play features.
- A gallery featuring warehouse images and cutscenes.
