Dragon Ball Fighter Z: rollback netcode and next-gen versions announced

Excellent news for all fans of the title

Lately, there has been a lot of talk about fighting games, from the news of Street Fighter 6, the worst success moment of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, and the arrival of the MultiVersus game. However, a game that, although it was released in 2018, still has a large community of active players, that's right, we're talking about Dragon Ball FighterZ.

This installment of Arc System Works continues to be one of the most loved competitive events by fans; this was seen at EVO 2022. At this event, important news was announced for all Dragon Ball fans; we are sure this news will make you happy.

DRAGON BALL WILL RECEIVE NETCODE ROLLBACK SYSTEM

One big news that will undoubtedly make a significant change to the game experience is the arrival of the netcode rollback system. Maybe many will wonder what that means. Don't worry, we'll explain.

To understand rollback netcode, we have to talk about GGPO, a middleware designed to create an almost lag-free online experience in various emulated arcade games, mainly fighting games. For this, using a netcode technique called “rollback,” GGPO puts lag ahead of a player's movement, partially hiding latency and creating an illusion of lag-free.

The effects examine that the players carry out the correct actions and correct possible inaccuracies. The program can allow gamers to adjust the latency in high ping situations.

DRAGON BALL FIGHTERZ IS COMING TO PLAYSTATION 5 AND XBOX SERIES X/S

Last but not least, those responsible for the game also announced that if you already own the title on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, you will be able to update them for free. On the other hand, PC users can choose between enjoying this title in its original version or opting for the integrated rollback netcode system, which will raise the minimum requirements.

Unfortunately, at the moment, there is still no information on when all this will be available, but we will undoubtedly have news about it later.
