Don't you love Kaijus? Either fighting game, seeing them… what about turning into one? Well if you are not familiar with it Kaiju No. 8 manga is pretty close to it.
Written and illustrated by Naoya Matsumoto, Kaiju No. 8 began publication on Shōnen Jump+ application and website on July 3, 2020 and has 7 volumes already published in Japan.
Here, we are following the story of Kafka Hibino, a man who after his town was destroyed by Kaiju when he was a child vows to become a member of the Defense Force with childhood friend Mina Ashiro.
Unfortunately, while Mina becomes a successful commander, Hibino fails over and over again and ends up as clean-up crew at Monster Sweeper Inc., where his job is to dispose of the monsters' dead bodies after battle.
In a weird turn of events, while working a small talking monster flies into his body and Kafka gains the ability to turn into a monster himself, gaining superhuman strength, and becoming the first monster to escape the Defense Force.

Toho Animation is producing this anime adaptation and has already set up a new official website, as well as an English Twitter account to post news on the anime.
