Ubisoft confirms there have been more additions to the team

Beyond Good and Evil 2 is one of those games that gives the impression that it will never be released. Ubisoft announced the title in 2008, and since then, the company has released information in dribs and drabs, allowing rumors of its cancellation to circulate.

Now it seems that the project is gradually recovering, based on recent events such as the start of external tests and significant changes in the developing team.

Narrative director Sarah Arellano has announced on her personal Twitter account that she has become the lead writer for Beyond Good and Evil 2.

This decision shook fans because of the importance of the role as opposed to the number of years this project has been in development, but at the same time gives a sense of movement in the creative process: it is certainly a confirmation that the game is still alive and that Ubisoft intends to publish it.

Regarding Sara's incorporation into the team, a spokesperson for Ubisoft told PC Gamer that this is proof that the developer is still working hard on Beyond Good & Evil 2.

"We are very happy to welcome Sarah who is one of the latest recruits on Beyond Good and Evil 2," the representative said. "The development team is hard at work to deliver on the promise made to its community."

Arellano has worked on projects such as World of Warcraft, as well as collaborating on the recent reboot of Saints Row that will be released this August.
