Xbox Series S will have better graphics performance with little tweak

It always can be better

Microsoft has been working to enhance the capabilities of the Xbox Series S and it was about time! Let’s admit it, the console has a lot of potential; it’s compact, cheap and gives you access to a lot of next-gen experiences. Sadly is less powerful than other new-gen options and left some games with underperforming results.

Luckily and according to The Verge, Microsoft released a new software development kit for Xbox. Its main novelty is that it frees up memory, so developers will be able to take advantage of it to deliver better graphic performance in memory-constrained conditions on Xbox Series S.

A great idea…

As developers have explained, the underperforming results for some games have nothing to do with the processor or GPU in the Xbox Series S. More often than not, Xbox Series S problems have to do with memory issues. Remember that the Series S only has 10GB of RAM, of which 2GB is reserved for the operating system.

Now, it is important to note that with this you should not expect all games to run at 1440p or 120 fps. That said, it is good to know that developers will have more options when optimizing games for the console and that more and more titles are likely to run at 1440p or 120 fps.
