FIFA 23 introduces visual enhancements and special effects

EA Sports highlighted the new visual features we will see in the game

After revealing the gameplay and details of Career Mode, they showed everything related to the "Match Day Experience." Or, in essence, everything that will accompany the game's atmosphere to have the closest thing to a television broadcast or to live it as if we were in the stands.

As usual, EA has released an illustrative video in which they show all the details, but we have also broken them down below so that it is clear what you will see when you start the game.

The North American company's game now has a more cinematic preamble and much more atmosphere in the stands when the ball starts rolling.

  • What's new in FIFA 23?

This trailer is the third in a series of videos highlighting a new section of the game in-depth, and there are still some highlights to come, such as new Ultimate Team features, among others.

  • More realistic stadiums

The stadiums in FIFA 23 will have a significant update, ranging from a lawn with different colors and lengths, which will resemble the decisions of the various teams in real life. Shadows are more exaggerated to create a more realistic feel.

  • Cinematics at critical moments

The match experience has been significantly enhanced, with new pre-match animations and scenes, improved fan interaction and mobility, and close-up cameras during the game when preparing for a corner kick, free kick, or other essential play.

  • Female referees in FUT and Club Pro

Match referees will be able to be male or female, just like in real life, regardless of whether it is a men's or women's soccer match, something that has already been implemented in many of the world's top leagues and will be available in all FIFA 23 game modes.

  • New goal-scoring experience

Everything around the goals is now updated; we already mentioned the new options when defining powerful shots in the gameplay news, but this will reflect in the net, which includes better animations. Replays will also have improved cameras, allowing fans to relive goals like never before.

  • New Celebrations

Finally, we will have new outstanding celebrations, such as Haaland's Yoga, Firmino's greeting with his teammates, Pulisic's gesture with his arm tattoo, or Diogo Jota's celebration as if he had a controller in his hands.

FIFA 23 will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC on September 30. Those who buy the Ultimate Edition or subscribe to the EA Play service will get access to play the game early on September 27.
