One of the great promises of last year has very few simultaneous players

Last year we got the release of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, being very exciting for the opportunity to use iconic Nickelodeon characters in a Smash Bros.-style platform brawler.

Unfortunately, the video game did not achieve the expected success and is currently struggling to maintain a stable community of players. And now, with the departure of its biggest competitor MultiVersus, the fandom's attention has gone to this new title, currently in its beta phase.

NICKELODEON IS NOT HAVING SUCCESS ON STEAM

TheGamer portal highlighted that the Nickelodeon title is at its worst. In less than a year since its release, it has failed to break 100 concurrent players on Steam.

At the time of writing this note, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has 33 simultaneous players, far from the 13,314 concurrent users seen ten months ago during its premiere.

As you can see in the previous image, the downward curve is constant since the fighting title has done nothing but lose players over the months. The situation is so dire that the count is below ten concurrent users on some days. Of course, we see a slight increase in popularity every time a new character or other novelties debut.

One of the main concerns of users is that competitive games are "dead" on all platforms; there are very few users, and finding a match takes a long time.

Something that fans think would help make this game more successful is cross-play. This will unify the user base of all platforms and improve waiting times to find rivals in online modalities.

NICKELODEON ALL-STAR BRAWL LIVES ITS WORST MOMENT AND MULTIVERSUS THE BEST

While Nickelodeon's game struggles for a player base, the Smash Bros. franchise faces a new competitor, as Warner Bros. Games' latest offering, MultiVersus, is a hit and is in the top 10 on platforms. Xbox, in the United States and is also a success on Steam.

Let's remember that for now, MultiVersus is a novelty; in addition to being in its open beta, it will be a matter of time to see if it can maintain the interest of the community in the long term.
