New Apex Legends season features a Kings Canyon update!

And a new player max level cap

Developer Respawn has revealed new details on the upcoming season 14 update, including significant changes and upgrades to the Kings Kanyon map coming later this month.

It will include a new point of interest (POI) called Relic, which will substitute the formerly known Skull Town before its destruction, along with a map visual upgrade.

All these changes will come with Hunted, the new season that will be released on August 9 and also adds the new hero Vantage.

According to VGC, during the Apex Legends developer panel, Level Designer Jeff Shaw said Respawn was taking a new holistic approach to map updates.

“We’re looking at all the facets of the map and focusing on the health of the map, really identifying problems in the map, and coming up with good solutions to them,”

“We’re trying to touch more areas of the map than just a single corner or something like that. So, it’s something we’re really excited about, and it’s definitely a new philosophy that we’re going to be leaning into for future map updates.” Shaw said.

“One of the biggest changes we’ve made is we really increased the landmass to improve the map’s flow and pacing, so that’s where Relic comes into play,” said Shaw, who hopes it will bring back “some of that classic Kings Canyon gameplay that people love and miss”.

The update will not only include a map upgrade but will also bring changes to the level cap, something the community has been waiting for for a long time.

Users can now replay everything up to level 500 four times, which raises the level cap to 2000, which converted to Apex Packs is equal to 544, talk about content!

Apex Legends is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, Switch, and PC. We are only a few days from the new content, so stay tuned!
