We are still four months away from the official release of The Callisto Protocol, a survival horror game that looks very promising to the genre. Since its announcement during Summer Game Fest, many horror fans, myself included, have been looking forward to its launch and, in the meantime, some sneak peeks.
Striking Distance Studio’s devs have already given some great details. A promise to prioritize horror over action was something that hyped up the community. Also, they mentioned various enemies appearing across the game that caught the community’s attention. And today, we glimpse the first of these terrifying enemies.

Glen Schofield, Striking Distance boss and The Callisto Protocol’s director, recently posted on Twitter the first look of a creature entitled “The Blind” (I bet it didn’t see that one coming, lol). The monster, or biophage as they are called on the game, is some sort of being that grew and evolved in the dark, developing its other senses and making it very dangerous for places with little or no light. Just the perfect addition to a horror game!
With this kind of announcement, The Callisto Protocol is shaping up to be one of the best horror projects of the year. Hopefully, it will deliver our biggest fears and jump scares ever.
Remember that The Callisto Protocol is due on December 2 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
