The Minecraft characters will join the battle very soon!

The Super Smash Bros. amiibo collection is so close to being completed. The original characters are already available, though many others from the DLCs are still missing in the compilation. And as you may already guess, two of them are from the popular game Minecraft. Fortunately, both will be arriving very soon to complete your collection!

On 2021, Nintendo mentioned that they would release Steve and Alex figurines, as they already have done with many other characters from Super Smash Bros. Today, we found out that these new amiibos will join the Fighters Pass Vol. 2 in September.

Oddly enough, earlier this year, Nintendo revealed that these characters would be delayed due to a “logistics and production” issue. However, this was left with a big question mark because even though it was mentioned that the Minecraft amiibos would come out this year, it wasn’t clear when will this happen.

Now that Nintendo announced through its Twitter account, both figurines have an official release date: September 9. Alongside the good news came a trailer that gave a headstart on what the amiibos would look like.

It caught our attention that, for a while now, Nintendo has released its amiibo collection from Super Smash Bros. in chronological order. This means that the releases have been paired with the official announcement of each character in the game. If we follow this train of thought, the next amiibo to be confirmed should be Sepphiroth from Final Fantasy VII. Nintendo hasn’t shared any related messages for the time being, but it’s possible that this next figurine will join the collection next year.
