The latest official update from Nintendo Switch Sports was released last week. And already, it looks like another whole new thing is coming to the title, just not yet. A new update was added to the game, with many limited-time new custom sets. The problem is that Nintendo has not officially announced this update; a data miner recently found it.
The 1.2.0 version was available today, bringing the users the highly expected Football and Volleyball modes. However, this same patch came with themed costumes that should be kept secret until the official announcement is due.

The images of the upcoming sets were provided by Reddit user Felipe_MA_, which summed up to 13 additional costumes, most likely appearing in the game in the coming weeks. Also, another data miner stumbled upon dodgeball and basketball options that may be on the radar very soon.
Snippets mined from Nintendo Switch Sports suggest the inclusion of both games, with online and offline versions of dodgeball. However, there's no indication whether these will be unlocked later or added as some sort of future DLC.
Another interesting thing found while datamining Switch Sports, the game references both "Basketball" and "Dodgeball" alongside the other playable sports. Could very well just be scrapped content, but mayyybe a potential future update? pic.twitter.com/mJb4SbaYM4

According to Video Game Chronicles, Switch data miner OatmealDome, who further analyzed the data following the update, the game “appears to support up to 29 collections, but they can always increase it if necessary”.
Hopefully, soon, Nintendo will announce these upcoming features as official updates for Nintendo Switch Sports. But, for now, we’ll have to be patient and wait.
