Halo Infinite multiplayer issue uses 1GB of data per game

343 is already aware and working on it

Halo Infinite is adding another issue to their (sadly) growing list of problems. This time 343 industries is investigating reports of the game downloading huge amounts of data during multiplayer matches.

According to VGC, the first report came from Twitter user @NicmeistaR, who reach out to Halo support showing that after every match, the game would reportedly use between 305Mb and 900Mb of data.

Of course, this alarmed many other players who after checking out their data usage they realized that in the worst cases the game used 1 GB after only one match.

Imagine using all your data in one night…

For now, it is unclear what is causing such an extreme data spike but speculations point out to
the game attempts to save the replay footage of the match, however, some users have noticed that data increase starts within a few minutes into the game.

The team at 343 industries is now aware and through a tweet informed that while they are investigating reports of extra data after multiplayer matches, the issue will be fixed until August's Drop Pod update.

This didn’t sit well with the players who are tired of the wide range of issues that plagued the game over the last months.

Hopefully this will be fixed and players will not have to suffer to play their favorite game.
