A bunch of new features to upgrade your experience

Today Sony released a feature and gameplay trailer for The Last of Us Part I remake, surprisingly an 11-minute one; showing us not only the upgraded graphics but also the gameplay enhancements which in the words of Naughty Dog Co-President Neil Druckmann will bring the game closer to its original vision.

This is what you can expect

To begin with, it has been made clear that they did a complete rebuild in the graphic department and not only a simple resolution and framerate bump. This is aiming to take advantage of the new generation of graphical capability, allowing the game to reach the visual fidelity that the studio aspired to in the first place.

Also, the cinematics now transitions seamlessly to gameplay, thanks to the motion matching technology meaning that character animations flow more realistically.

Fans asked and they delivered

That is not all (for now) as Naughty Dog worked with their community to integrate some fan requests, including a “permadeath” mode, a speedrun-focused mode, and a host of brand-new unlockable costumes for Joel and Ellie.

Actually, the game now hosts 60-plus accessibility options, surpassing the number they were able to offer with The Last of Us Part II, and includes a new Audio Description mode, ensuring an inclusive experience for everyone.

With these improvements, we are sure that you will want to revisit the Last of Us Part I so remember that this remake launches on PlayStation 5 on September 2 of this year.
