It's not nice to give bad news. Unfortunately, we must inform all users who were eagerly awaiting the title of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will have to wait longer to play it. Why? It turns out that Ubisoft decided to pull it back. It could even go as far as 2024.
In a recent financial report, Ubisoft announced that the game was pushed back to next year; in case you didn't remember, it was initially scheduled to debut sometime in the current fiscal year, so it was going to debut before April 1st, 2023.
Now with this change, it could debut between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024.
BUT WHY DID THEY DELAY THE LONG-AWAITED GAME?
On many occasions, when companies decide to delay releases, it is usually because they want to offer a higher quality experience. This will be the same with the Avatar game.
“We are committed to delivering a game-changing, immersive experience that takes full advantage of next-generation technology as this amazing global entertainment brand represents a multi-year opportunity for Ubisoft,” he explained.
According to Jeff Grubb, one of the industry's most trusted journalists, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora currently looks excellent, but the gameplay is in poor shape. So it's likely that Ubisoft delayed it to make the game fun and not just look pretty.
