Netflix’s Resident Evil Showrunner wants Lady Dimitrescu to appear in the show

If a second season is ever released

Netflix's Resident Evil show has been released recently on the video-on-demand platform. Although it hasn't been well received (it's already one of the worst rated in the catalog), those responsible are confident of giving it continuity with new seasons.

Andrew Dabb, Showrunner of the adaptation, has granted an interview to TheGamer on the occasion of the series premiere. Dabb commented that in future entries, he would like to have the arrival of several characters from the franchise.

The first eight episodes divide into two timelines, one in which the Wesker family settles in New Raccoon City, and another in the future, in the middle of an apocalypse where the T-virus has devastated much of The world population. In that context, Dabb wants to introduce more characters from Capcom's horror saga, especially villains who are well-known and loved by the RE fandom.

Lady Dimitrescu could return to the franchise

Production for Resident Evil (Netflix) began before Resident Evil Village came out, but Andrew says those events happen simultaneously with the show. “Village is part of our lore,” he explains. “If we want to put a giant vampire lady in Season 2, we can. I’m not saying we’re going to, but it’s an option."

"Over the course of the series, I want to bring everything in," the Showrunner added. "Left to my own devices, I want Lady D, I want the plant monster, I want it all. I want everything, but judiciously (and) responsibly over time."
