The Boys gets a college-phase spinoff

The new series will present our favorite supes as young teens

Now that the third season of The Boys is over, everyone is feeling the end getting closer and closer. Of course, two more seasons could be coming to Amazon Prime to resolve all the issues around the series, but what happens after that? Don’t worry, lads, because a spinoff is already in the works to fight our future post-series void.

Generation V is a brand-new story inspired by the original series The Boys, which will portray powerful young supes and their teen angsts at college V, casually run by Vought. We will get the chance to learn how these kids, their boundaries, and their potential to protect their cities.

Amazon's official synopsis reveals that the spinoff will be "an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It's part college show, part Hunger Games — with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys."

Generation V is run by Tara Butters and Michelle Fazekas. The title came from a short video posted to social media featuring series stars Lizzie Broadway and Chance Perdomo. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television Studios and Amazon Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.

"It's gonna be a rollercoaster," star Lizzie Broadway says in the clip. "It's gonna be filled with blood, guts, and everything else." Chance Perdomo adds, "It's fucked up. You're gonna like it."

It will be a matter of time until we get a teaser or trailer and find out if it’ll be as good as the original one or even as funny as the animated spinoff, Diabolical.
