We are used to counting all that the video game industry left behind at the end of each year and being able to choose which were the best titles. There are still almost six months to go until the end of 2022, but there has already been a ceremony that has just chosen the best of this year, and it was exclusive to PlayStation.
Develop: Stars Awards 2022 is a significant European ceremony in the region, and a few months ago, it shared a list of nominees for the best of 2022. The event occurred on July 13, announcing the winners of each category.
PLAYSTATION WON BIG
The biggest accolade went to Horizon Forbidden West, as it managed to win the award for the best game by beating titles like OliiOlli World, Sifu, Unpacking, and Forza Horizon 5.
Also on the list of winners were the exclusive (temporary) PlayStation consoles DEATHLOOP (Best Original IP) and the other exclusive Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (Best Technical Innovation).
The winners were chosen from the list of nominees by "a panel of game developers and industry experts." The fans had no say in the vote.
