Super Mario Bros, Anime movie is now being dubbed by fans

This fan restoration project is all or nothing

Back in April a 4K Restoration of the 1986 animated film "Super Mario Bros. - The Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach!” saw the light thanks to the efforts of many among the community.

Actually, the movie was available on Youtube way before this remaster project took place, either way, this one is a clean, colour-corrected, version now available to stream on YouTube or download from the Internet Archive, subtitled obviously as it never was dubbed.

Seems like some fans thought that this wasn’t enough, and took the matter into their hands joining efforts to dub the film for an English-speaking audience.

Fandubs?

Some people are not fans of fandubs, we have seen many comments completely opposing this type of work. Nonetheless, this project looks promising as the people involved come from Mario Radio Show on Youtube.

The cast includes Mario Radio Show collaborators like beatlebutt (Princess Toadstool, Lady Bow and Junior), WyntonYang (as Mario, Luigi, King Whomp, Kammy Koopa and Professor Egad) and Joe Armentrout (as King Koopa, King Bob-omb and Tatanga).

As we have learned, fans tend to do these projects as a way of showing their love to the character or the franchise as a whole. Hopefully, this dubbing project will flow flawlessly and we will be able to watch it as soon as possible.

You can find the movie here and here.
