Let's face it, PlayStation 5 doesn’t have the richest selection of controllers to choose from, but, today, we can expand the list by one more. Now available for $200, the Hex Rival Pro is a competitive-focused device with a fully modular design that lets you customize nearly every aspect of the premium gamepad.
Hex gaming is known for its expensive yet high-quality products. This is their latest and most affordable PS5 controller of the bunch so far. That is, of course, if you don't want customization add-ons.
Yes, it is not cheap, but the investment is backed up by a ton of cool features. From swapping out thumbsticks or reconfiguring its rear buttons in a matter of seconds, to custom paint jobs in a variety of colors or patterns. There’s also the option to set on-board profiles for when you find your perfect setup.
Xbox has given players a premium version of its standard controller before, but Sony is yet to catch up on that front, at least for the PlayStation 5. The best option so far has been the Scurf Reflex, which offers similar features as the previously mentioned Hex Rival.
