After a season of many in-person event cancellations, luckily for this year, we got the return of the massive Anime Expo 2022, taking place in Los Angeles, California, at the Convention Center and having the first day of June as the opening of the event.
Despite the great emotion of all anime fans to be able to be at the event, unfortunately, not everything turned out well, as a complaint was filed through a Twitter user in which he exposed the treatment of the responsible people of the event.
Hey @AnimeExpo what’s up with the way your vendors are being treated? Yesterday they had to wait for people to finish chatting on their phones and smoking to check in and now this. #animeexpo #AnimeExpo2022 pic.twitter.com/tTcdTDQ93g

As you can see, the user with the name @heatdaken has attached an image where you can see event workers in what appears to be an entrance and added the following text: “They're forcing vendors to throw all of their food and drink out to enter, meaning those of us who don't have a big booth/don't have extra help have to go 12+ hours without eating or drinking”.
But that's not all; he also added that the Anime Expo Staff makes fun of "the free food" they've been getting.
@AnimeExpo Why is your staff joking about this shit. pic.twitter.com/jwwZEgufs7

The user also asked for help from the Twitter community to make the publication viral and thus draw the attention of those responsible for the convention since he mentions that what the staff is doing is inhumane.
He also attached a photo where you can see all the confiscated food.
Forgot to add this one because my friend took a pic of confiscates food. pic.twitter.com/H70vT0yPMi

The publication managed to go viral, and the official Twitter account has responded to the exposed problem.
Thank you for notifying us. We have began investigation on this issue.

However, Twitter users are using the post to raise complaints about the convention and the inconsistencies in the rules embodied on the internet that are not being carried out in reality.
Going to put this on blast like the other commenter: PERSONAL FOOD AND DRINK IS ALLOWED:https://t.co/0TYiTOJ7hh pic.twitter.com/HIZmyCQ65n

This happens EVERY YEAR. Y'all should be proactively training staff not to do this with penalities for breaking policy.

If this didn’t go viral would ya’ll have even cared about breaking your own policy?
