Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope gets two in-deep look trailers and an all-star composers team

All the news of this Wednesday's special presentation of the long-awaited sequel

This past Tuesday, we finally have a Nintendo Direct. Not a "traditional one" that includes games from Nintendo itself, but rather an event focused on titles coming from third parties.

As you can check out on our complete coverage of this presentation, one of the main games was Ubisoft's Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, the sequel of the unexpected turn-based strategy adventure game starring characters from both Mario and the Rabbids. Still can't believe this crossover exists, but grateful for that as a fan of the plumber.

During the direct, it was announced that today we would have a special event showing more of the game. In the end, we left with three great headlines.

"First of all, we got an in-deep introduction trailer that shows a lot of key aspects, including new worlds, new allies, and a new combat system that awaits us."

Take a look:

Then, we have a second trailer. This one, it´s focused on teamwork, which is also a crucial part of the game, as we must look for a better strategy to defeat all of the enemies in each level, and of course, the bosses.

Here's the trailer:

Also, during this presentation, Ubisoft revealed the identity of the three composers of the game's soundtrack.

Well, we already know that Grant Kirkhope, known for his work for the Banjo series and many other titles, including Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, is returning for this sequel.

The other two composers are Yoko Shimomura, a Japanese composer who worked on the Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy franchises, just to name a few; and Gareth Coker, a multi-awarded composer known for Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps.

Kirkhope, Shimomura, and Coker, now that's what I called a composers team. We can say that the director of the series, Davide Soliani, and all of us are very fortunate.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is due out exclusively on Nintendo Switch on October 20.

Are you looking forward to this game? Have you played the first one? Tell us in the comments section.
