All gamers are used to the fact that year after year, in June, they get a lot of new news from the video game industry, the most anticipated event being E3. However, with the announcement that this year there would be no event, Summer Game Fest became relevant to be the savior of gamers this 2022.
Without a doubt, this year's edition was a success in reach and popularity; its organizer Geoff Keighley shared the event's statistics to reveal that it was excellent.
SUMMER GAME FEST BREAKS SPECTATOR'S RECORD
According to the information shared by the same organizer, there were more than 27 million live broadcasts of the Summer Game Gest 2022, which means an increase of 8% compared to the previous year (more than 25 million), and there were more than 6000 official co-streamers.
The event also gave a lot to talk about since twice as many tweets about the event were recorded on Twitter compared to the previous year's edition and around 69% if we compare it with the last ceremony of The Game Awards.

Undoubtedly much of this popularity that the event took was because precisely this year, there was no competition due to the absence of E3, and the other video game events took place before or after the Summer Game Fest.
Geoff Keighley had previously confirmed that for the following year, 2023, there would already be a face-to-face edition of the Summer Game Fest. For now, there is still no confirmed date, although we also remember that E3 returns for 2023; it will be a matter of seeing how success will be now of both events are if they coincide for the exact dates now that there will be more competition.
