Amourath stalker arrested after trying to break into her house

Pure nightmare fuel…

Kaitlyn Michelle Siragusa better known as Amourath is one of the top-earning Twitch streamers in the world, pretty sure you have heard about her. Sadly, Siragusa had spent the last weeks fearing for her life as one of her fans (if we can call him that) took things too far.

According to Amourath, the stalker was noticed around her area on May 8th, what made everything way scarier is that this guy besides badly mimicking her streams, said that he came all the way from Estonia, sold all his belongings, including his house, his car and his cat.

Everything took a bizarre turn

Siragusa informed the police, however, there wasn’t much to do as a crime wasn’t committed… yet. They were able to patrol around the hotel he was staying at but again, that was all.

Later he was camping out daily at a Starbucks near her P.O box, he keep streaming his days trying to “find Kaitlyn”. Then things took an awful turn as the stalker started sending her "dancing videos" that she compared to the Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs.

44 days later…

According to his vlogs and streams, he spent 44 days stalking Amourath and on June 13th he streamed himself outside Siragusa’s house. He keep repeating that “[he] knew it was wrong” but either way he tried to break in.

Amourath claims that she called 9-1-1 but they keep putting her on hold. Fortunately and apparently unknown to the stalker, she had hired a security group for protection “heavily armed”. Of course, he ended up getting arrested, the embassy was contacted, and he is allegedly deported by now.

We need to talk about this

The rise of streaming personalities has increased dramatically these stalker cases.

Is not a secret that pop stars, actors and athletes have experienced this type of problem however, streamers and youtube personalities as they are much more easily accessible than some celebrities, tend to face these situations more often, sometimes with terrible outcomes.

Sadly as seen in Amourath’s case, these stalkers can not be detained as they are “not committing” a crime. Here comes the question; if someone is harassing you online, offline and streaming his intentions publicly, even camping outside your house… how the police are unable to do something with all this proof?

What we need to understand is that as our times change, the social problems too. Many nations have to toughen their laws against stalkers after many cases with awful outcomes, maybe it's time for our police to take these threats seriously before a tragedy occurs, or go further and demand our lawmakers to toughen the punishments for those who harass somebody.
