Lollipop Chainsaw turns 10 with an epic comeback

Juliet Starling is back for more zombie extermination. Are you ready?

Girly but deadly, Lollipop Chainsaw was a beautiful and funny game made for zombie fans with glitter. The title was developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and published by the Japanese company Kadokawa Games. The project had the mastermind Goichi Suda (AKA Suda51) for its creative side and the famous filmmaker James Gunn (responsible for Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad). It was a true dream team, and it showed in the quality of the game and the unique story Lollipop Chainsaw has.

Lollipop Chainsaw came out ten years ago, and members of the team that made the title come to life couldn't let the date pass unannounced with very heartful messages (including the famous cosplayer Jessica Nigri).

LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW WILL BE BACK FOR MORE!

Along with the celebrating spirit of the 10th anniversary of Lollipop Chainsaw, the franchise just announced its comeback. We just can’t help but feel as excited as Juliet when she learns how to use a chainsaw. Even though this kind of game could come across as politically incorrect in some way, Yoshimi Yasuda, director of Dragami Games, would be in charge of this remarkable revival.

“Please look forward to it, ” Yasuda says. And we shall look forward to it. Unfortunately, we have no further information regarding this announcement. It’s still unknown if it’ll be a remake or an entirely new title or if Suda51 and James Gunn will be part of this upcoming project. Nevertheless, this is very exciting, and in case something comes up, we’ll keep you posted.
