The Ubisoft franchise is taking the birthday bash to the next level

It was the year 2007 when we were first introduced to the Assassin’s Creed madness. Little did we know about this game's colossal impact, going further than the gaming community. Now that the original title celebrates 15 years after its release, Ubisoft couldn’t help but put together a bunch of announcements and surprises for its most important asset: the fans.

For the first big delivery, the franchise disclosed a lot of stuff would happen throughout the year. Upcoming events (the next one coming on September), activities, rewards, and collaboration will surface in the following months. Alice Terrett, the Community Developer at Ubisoft, mentioned during the briefing that it doesn’t matter if you’re looking to relive good memories or stay tuned for possible new releases; there will be something for you.

Among the highlights, the Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla fans will be delighted to know that there’s a brand-new (and free) expansion. The Forgotten Saga will take you to the gates of hell, literally. So delve into Niflheim, and be brave enough to come out of the darkness in one piece. There will also complement the story's last chapter, which will have a separate announcement in the future.

THE FRANCHISE HAS REACHED EDUCATIONAL GOALS TOO

One of the things I love the most about the Assassin’s Creed franchise is, by far, its educational side. Even though the adventure leads the way, it’s undeniable that every story from the games comes with a history lesson. This way, not only the game offers the capacity to develop acute motor abilities while playing, but it also makes the franchise available to a broader audience. Nowadays, teachers are well aware of the educational value of Assassin’s Creed and take advantage of it from time to time. This new focus inspired the team at Ubisoft to create Discovery Tour, a digital program in which students can learn in a more didactic way about Egypt, Greece, and the Viking era.

A NEW PATCH IS COMING TO ORIGINS

Check this out; a 60 FPS boost is coming to Assassin’s Creed Origins. Egypt never looked so good. And what’s cooler than a 60 FPS patch? A free one. From June 16 to June 20, remember to update your game and run it with this powerful boost. The free weekend trial will arrive on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Stadia platforms. During the anniversary event, Ubisoft also revealed some gameplay with this update. You can either watch the entire event or skip to 16:04 to watch the gameplay:
