All the spooky stuff is more than anything we could ask for

Most of the time, horror lovers are undermined in the video game industry. One or two titles are often announced for the next year or so. From time to time, a new dramatic and intense story comes with eerie undertones, but it’s not horror per se. But this year is our year, folks. So far, during this beautiful season of announcements, we’ve heard about not one, not two but more than TEN video games that are horror or thriller related. And if you want to find out which one suits your spooky needs the most, here is the complete list of the horror games that we know of so far:

THE CALLISTO PROTOCOL
The masterminds that created Dead Space are back for more extraterrestrial nightmares. From Striking Distance Studios, The Callisto Protocol is an upcoming survival horror game that’ll keep you awake at night.
When? December 2, 2022.
Where? PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC.

ROUTINE
What if I told you your life depends on defending yourself against evil technology? In this story, the machines have won, and you’ll have to fight creepy cyborgs to stay alive. ROUTINE is a first-person sci-fi horror set on an abandoned lunar base designed around an 80s vision of the future.

WITCHFIRE
The Astronauts’ latest project is Witchfire, a dark fantasy first-person shooter set in an alternative world where witches are real and very dangerous – but so are you. So are you ready to delve into the unknown wonders of witchcraft and power?

FORT SOLIS
Fort Solis is a single-player third-person thriller set over one long night on the far side of Mars. Engineer Jack Leary responds to a routine alarm where events unravel and escalate out of control in a way he could never have imagined.

LAYERS OF FEARS

THE QUARRY

OUTBREAK ISLAND
Outbreak Island follows detective Howard Chapman looking into the disastrous effects of an experiment gone wrong on Erisen Island. LIFELESS MOON
Lifeless Moon comes from the developers of Lifeless Planet and has you exploring a desolate moon as you solve puzzles and platform your way to safety. Of the upcoming indie games being shown this year, Lifeless Moon excels in conveying its indie horror tone.

THE WALKING DEAD: LAST MILE
From Skybound games comes The Walking Dead: Last Mile, part game, part interactive live experience as it relies on the audience to determine its outcome. the next installment in The Walking Dead franchise where survival depends on you.

CHOO-CHOO CHARLES
Choo-Choo Charles is pure nightmare fuel. This survival game takes place on an island inhabited by a horrible, evil hell train with spider legs that crawls across the land looking for people to eat. Your goal is to upgrade your train and use it to fight back while not getting eaten yourself.
