Eiichiro Oda needs time to prepare the final arc

Most of us don’t like when our favourite artist, show or manga enters on hiatus… However, is always needed and in this case, is for a good reason. Yes, as you read in the title the One Piece manga will be taking a one-month hiatus in order to prepare for the series’ final arc.

According to Siliconera, Eiichiro Oda send a message to fans, where he stated that they would release two more chapters before taking the hiatus. So, One Piece will return with the 34th issue of Shonen Jump on July 25, 2022.

Seems like Oda, plans to prepare for the series’ next and final arc as before he expressed interest in visiting Africa in order to oversee the filming of the One Piece live-action series, sadly the ongoing pandemic will make this imposible.

Wait, what about One Piece’s anniversary events?

He also teased a few upcoming events. Among them are a collaboration event, and a commercial appearing sometime in Summer 2022. Additionally, the One Piece YouTube account is hosting a special broadcast on June 8, 2022 that will reveal the voice actors behind One Piece Film Red‘s heroine Uta as well as Gordon.
