Everything (and I mean everything) that Guillermo del Toro creates, is pure magic. He has given us the most human stories through fantastic characters, and for that, we are forever grateful. The good news is that the Mexican director (and screenwriter) is still creating new stories, reason enough to keep waiting for more horror stories. We are still celebrating Netflix’s Geeked Week and one of the first announcements of the event was a brand-new teaser trailer for the upcoming series Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities.
The new horror anthology will accommodate eight different stories. Each one will be led by a variety of directors, offering a creative and complex perspective on storytelling.
According to Polygon, some of the directors included are Jennifer Kent (The Babadook), David Prior (The Empty Man), Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), Ana Lily Amirpour (A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night), and more. Along with all these directors, the series will also star Essie Davis (The Babadook), Andrew Lincoln (The Walking Dead), F. Murray Abraham (Mythic Quest), Tim Blake Nelson (Watchmen), Crispin Glover, Peter Weller (Robocop), Rupert Grint (Harry Potter), and many more to come.
