A special tribute to the late champion

Coach, broadcaster, Super Bowl champion, John Madden did it all, and sadly left this world in December of last year at age of 85, however, to recognize this legend Electronic Arts will commemorate John in the next Madden NFL 23’s covers.

Many tributes for a multifaceted man

3 different images of the legendary coach will illustrate the different versions of Madden 23, after 20 years of absence in the video game that has borne his name for decades.

These covers highlight him as both a broadcaster and NFL coach through the artwork created by Philadelphia artist Chuck Styles. It is important to note that the illustrations created reflect the passion of this legendary character who created the legendary "All-Madden" team.

As for the in-game tributes, Madden's voice will return to the game for the first time in more than a decade, thanks to remastered audio clips from his days as an award-winning broadcaster.

Wait, there is more… the game will also feature a special Madden vs. Madden interactive experience that includes two versions of Madden leading two teams of "All-Madden athletes" against each other in the 1970 Oakland Coliseum.

Last but not least Electronic Arts has also announced plans to direct funds from a $5 million John Madden Legacy Commitment to Education and dedicating John Madden Field, a complex at the company's global headquarters in Redwood City, California, in honor of Madden's lifetime achievements.
