Akira Toriyama admits that Gohan is Dragon Ball’s stronger character

A confirmation we have been waiting for a while…

The latest trailers for Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO has shown us a version of Gohan that (finally) seems to have unleashed all his potential. We cannot be amazed as he has been a very powerful character since his introduction, I mean… he destroyed Cell after all.

However, for many the constant question was… Who is Dragon Ball’s strongest Z-Fighter? And with the next movie around the corner, creator Akira Toriyama has confirmed that he firmly believes that Gohan is the strongest among them.

As expected this caused an endless discussion…

The Official Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO Twitter Account shared a new interview with Akira Toriyama, where the creator admitted that Goku's son is the strongest hero, even though he isn’t a full-blooded Saiyan:

"Gohan is actually stronger than anyone… However, he hasn't really gotten a chance to shine. In order to motivate Gohan, it takes his teacher Piccolo rather than his father Goku. I figured I'd try giving birth to a new superhero by putting these two in the spotlight through their intense battles with the Gamma androids.”

If you are not up to date with Dragon Ball Super, you should know that Gohan had to go over a rough path to find his way back as a fighter in order to reach once again his Ultimate transformation.

Of course, this didn’t sit well with some fans, who claimed that “Gohan the strongest makes absolutely no sense at all when he's not even a FULL-BLOODED SAIYAN.”

Others are just very happy that this was confirmed… which team are you?

We will leave the latest trailer of Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO below:
