Epic Games is going further with their metaverse plans with a new partner

The future is now old man, Epic Games, and WPP team up in an unexpected partnership

Epic Games, developers of Fortnite, have created important partnerships in the last months trying to make their metaverse project a reality.

Last month KIRKBI, owners of LEGO, and Sony invested $2 billion dollars in the project, this time WPP the multinational communications and advertising company enters the game aiming to deliver new digital experiences for brands in the metaverse.

Building innovative experiences is no easy task

Through a statement, the companies explained that they will create a new training program for WPP employees to create unique and customized experiences in Fortnite. This implies that they will also receive mentoring on the use of Unreal Engine.

Clearly, the main goal for both companies is the union of brands and creators, as they previously collaborated to create a Fortnite island at the request of Adidas which ended up with favorable results.

As noted in the statement “For brands embarking on this journey, success in the metaverse is dependent not only on creative excellence but deep production capabilities, sound strategies for amplifying digital experiences and expert knowledge of a complex online safety and privacy landscape.”

A new approach to a well-known concept

Advertising may not be our favorite thing, however, the main idea for this alliance is to work with other well-known brands interested in the metaverse and try to educate them in new ways of communicating with their audience. This includes companies from industries such as fashion, music, film, video games and more.

Can the metaverse change de advertising game? Or it will be a giant digital ad board?
