Leak about Gears of War 6 is fake
The X user known as Karim Jovian shared an image that stunned all Xbox gamers. It is supposedly a screenshot of the main screen of Gears of War 6, where various game modes are shown.
The image reveals a campaign demo, a Versus mode and a Battle Royale mode in Beta status. Some fans of the franchise were excited about what was revealed in this find, but the problem is that it is a fake leak.
The image was originally created and published in 2014 by youtuber ElGamerWICHO, who creates content about the popular franchise. In fact, he himself denied Jovian's publication and made it clear that he was the author of the image.
At the time of this writing, X already shows a note from the community warning that the release is not accurate. This disappointed many people who saw the screenshot and thought it was a real leak.
All that said, Gears of War 6 has not been leaked. Xbox has yet to confirm its June reveal, but fans are hopeful that The Coalition will surprise with the reveal of the new installment, which will supposedly go for the open world.
